Is a United Kingdom based artist. Utilising paint as a sculptural medium, Secunda explores the notion of the fundamental practice, posing questions to the validity of the old order of the established mediums – Painting and Sculpture. His practice weaves its way through assemblage to casting to a more ethereal use of paint itself.

His recent works of casting objects with paint embue these forms with a certain gravitas and metaphysical weight. A cast copy of the real object itself, removed from its original context distorts and shifts into an object able to be read within its own set of aesthetic boundaries.This sets up a host of questions on the validity of the object and its abject politicisation while simultaneously offering a legitimate and powerful experience.

Secunda presented a number of works in the solo exhibition ‘The Attack on Hart Security’ in 2012.
